How to list and Do’s and Don’ts

If you are a dealer

  • Kindly get yourself a login by reaching out to us through any of the known Dealer/Distributor Indian HomeTheater/HiFi whatsapp groups
  • One of the group member from the above list should vouch that you are a genuine dealer. This is to avoid a grey market dealer listing through the system
  • Once you login to usedhifi site, head to Products, add new product
  • Choose the right category for your product. In case you need a new category please reach out to us.
  • All all these details. Actual Product image(s), product condition, Description, Pre-owned or Ex-demo or Stock clearance, Price and contact details
  • The product will be listed immediately. Any inquiries can be seen in the Dashboard and in Whatsapp/email given at the time of login creation
  • To add your WhatsApp number in the product listing then add the following shortcode including the box brackets as the last line in the “short description” column
  • [ ht-ctc-chat number=919999999999 ] - replace 9999999999 with your mobile number and don't leave any space before and after the ].
 This will ensure that your listing has a whatsapp icon next to the product listing

If you are not a dealer but want to sell what you own then

  • Please get in touch with your dealer through whom you bought earlier or any nearby genuine dealer to list your item for sale
  • Dealer may reject the listing for the following reasons
    • the brand is not officially represented in India
    • it is bought through a grey market dealer
    • self imported
    • not in a good condition to be reused
    • a product that is more suitable to be listed in other used product platforms
    • any other genuine reason
  • The dealer may charge a fee for helping you out with the sale as they will be the first point of contact for all inquiries.
  • Kindly note that dealer will be spending good amount of time on behalf of you in taking the inquiries, listing the product, showing demos etc
  • So we will leave it up to the dealer and you to discuss the fee, transportation, settlement method, demo to potential buyer etc and agree.
  • We hope that by going through the dealer you can have some peace of mind as they will help you filter out the potential buyers
  • Kindly ensure that the product listing is fine and all the product details are correct
  • Buyers also get some confidence that they are buying through a genuine/reputed dealer rather than from unknown person
  • Once the product is sold, please remind the dealer to remove the listing

If you are a Buyer

  • To send an inquiry click on the “Click to Chat” button if it is enabled for the product you are interested in
  • Otherwise click the tab named “Enquiry” which is below all the product images and next to the “Description” Tab
  • Enter proper email address, your message and click send
  • You may get a google captcha to verify that you are not a bot
  • Do not send multiple inquiries and wait for the dealer to respond
  • Kindly understand that dealer listed this is not a second hand dealer and they may be busy with their day to day work, so please be patient
  • that you will be dealing with a genuine dealer when you make the inquiry
